6 Turned to Stone (The Fall of Cetus)

Portada de la canción Turned to Stone (The Fall of Cetus), Astronomika Beats, mitología griega de Cetus
Detrás de la Canción

Perseo llega justo a tiempo.

Letra

Intro

(Turn to stone!)

Verso 1

The sea winds scream, the shoreline starts to shake,
A titan rising in the foam and wake!
His breath of fire, his scales of rising storm,
An ancient nightmare taking monstrous form!
No time to pray, no room to step aside:
Either he falls, or I drown beneath the tide! (stand and fight!)
Unleash the cursed head, the weapon forged in dread,
Cetus, your final judgment overhead! (your end is near!)

Coro

The stone is calling! Fear crawls upon your skin!
The gods declare this is where your terrors end! (where they end!)
Medusa in my hands, stare straight into her eyes,
Forgive me, brother, but Olympus claims the skies! (it’s over now!)
Your flesh turns cold to granite, your fury bleeds away,
The horror shatters in the dawning of the day! (shatter the stone!)

Verso 2

The waters break against his petrified chest,
The beast is crumbling in the ocean west!
Mira fades out, then flares into the night,
A beating cosmic heart of variable light! (Mira’s eye!)
Out in the Squid Galaxy, a dormant spiral screams,
M-seventy-seven glowing in celestial streams!
Diphda at the tail marks the falling of the beast,
While starlight settles softly on the east! (calm the storm!)

Puente

The ocean pulls back slowly, the roaring winds are still,
A giant carved in ruin upon the silent hill.
His venom turns to ash, the broken shadows flee,
My name is carved forever in the sand beside the sea!
(Perseus never falls!)
(Perseus never yields!)

Face the destiny across eternal fields!

Outro

The monster is in ruins…
The chains are undone.
Andromeda, my princess…
I came for you.

Como en cada canción de Astronomika Beats, aquí hay más de un guiño astronómico escondido. Si ya los cazaste, cuéntanos en los comentarios qué encontraste. Si no, dale otra escuchada con atención.
